Illnesses and injuries can happen suddenly in the workplace. If you know how to recognize an emergency and know what to do, you can make the difference between a quick recovery or a long illness; or you may make the difference between life and death.
Welcome to Kansas City First Aid. We are an Authorized Training Site of the American Heart Association aligned with the University of Kansas Hospital American Heart Association Training Center. We are located in Shawnee, Kansas and specialize in teaching CPR Classes, First Aid, and AED training courses onsite throughout the Kansas City and surrounding area.
We also offer regularly scheduled classes for individual healthcare providers, childcare providers, workplace responders, and lay rescuers at various locations.
Our products include automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and accessories, first aid products, and first aid emergency oxygen. Our services include onsite training, AED site assessments, AED Program Medical Oversight, and eMinders.

Kansas City First Aid is also an authorized training center for Medic First Aid and ASHI (American Safety and Health Institute). We offer onsite training at your location for no additional cost.

Kansas City First Aid teaches courses at various locations within the Kansas City area. You will be advised of the location of your course during the registration process.
Yes, if you have six or more participants, our instructor will come to your location and teach any American Heart Association course. We have the latest equipment and do tabletop CPR - so no more getting down on the ground to practice! There are no additional fees involved for this option.
If you have fewer than six, we recommend attending one of our scheduled courses.
No, there are no age requirements. However, younger children may not understand the steps to CPR or be able to do chest compressions. We recommend eight years of age as a minimum.
Upon successful course completion, American Heart Association, or American Safety & Health Institute certification cards valid for 2-years will be distributed at your course.
Please do not bring children, friends, or other guests. Only registered participants may attend the class. Please do not bring your pets to Pet First Aid (or any other class). Classes are not designed to accommodate pets.
